Overview
SetOne is a strength training tracker built to help you log workouts, track progress, and build consistent training habits. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
What we collect
Data you provide directly:
Account information when you sign up: email address, and if you use Sign in with Apple, the name you choose to share. We never see your Apple ID password.
Workout data you log: exercises, weights, sets, reps, and session history. This is the core of what SetOne does and stays on your device unless you enable cloud backup.
Program preferences: training frequency, experience level, equipment tier, and goal selection from onboarding.
App settings: rest timer preferences, notification preferences, reminder days and times.
Data collected automatically:
Crash reports and basic diagnostic information if you opt in to sharing analytics with Apple. We do not run our own analytics on your workout data.
Device identifiers for push notification delivery.
Data we do not collect:
We do not collect location data. We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photo library. We do not collect health data from Apple Health (no HealthKit integration in v1). We do not serve ads and do not share data with advertisers.
How we use your data
Workout data is used to power the app: calculating warmup weights, tracking progressive overload, generating program recommendations, and showing your history and progress.
Account information is used to identify your account, enable cloud backup across devices, and send you notifications you opt into.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
Third parties
Supabase: We use Supabase to store your account information and workout data in the cloud when you enable cloud backup. Supabase processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Data is stored on servers in the United States.
Apple: Sign in with Apple is handled entirely by Apple. We receive only a user identifier and optionally your email. Apple's privacy policy governs that interaction.
Google: If you sign in with Google, Google handles authentication and shares a user identifier and email with us. Google's privacy policy governs that interaction.
StoreKit: Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; SetOne verifies subscription status using Apple's StoreKit framework and its own servers.
Your workout data stays on your device indefinitely. If you enable cloud backup, your data stays in our Supabase database until you delete your account. Deleting your account permanently deletes all cloud data within 30 days. Local data on your device is deleted when you delete the app.
Your rights
You can export your workout data as CSV at any time from the app (premium feature). You can delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently deletes your cloud data and cannot be undone. You can request a copy of your data or ask questions about how we handle it by emailing us at the address below.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EEA and UK residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your data is performance of a contract (providing the app service you signed up for). You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Children
SetOne is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Workout data on your device is encrypted at rest using iOS Data Protection. Data in transit to our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices including row-level security on our database so your data is only accessible to you.
Changes to this policy
We will notify you of material changes to this policy through the app. Continued use of SetOne after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
